UPDATE (September 21):
Alton Cunningham introduces himself to Basement Made:
“My name is Alton “The Bo-Man” Cunningham. I started training in mixed martial arts at the in March 2013 and had my 1st fight in April 2014. I grew up a pro wrestling & boxing fan so I have always had the desire to compete in physical combat. When I was a freshman in high school I knew I would eventually compete in MMA it was only a matter of time. I entered this sport to become World Champion and I plan on achieving that goal through constant dedication & hardwork to perfect my craft. I am currently 4-1 as an amateur and I am ranked 2nd in the state. On August 22, I had my 1st chance at gold at 3 River Throwdown in LaCrosse and I won by tko in the 2nd round. The next step in my career will be to 1st get back healthy and defend my title before turning pro.”

It’s tornado season and Madison, Wisconsin’s Alton Cunningham is throwing punches like a twister ripping through a small farming community. The relentless MMA fighter recently beat out Ben Ross for the “3 Rivers Throwdown” Middleweight Championsip (August 22), bringing the illustrious belt back home to Mad City.
Alton stayed on his feet at Copeland Park in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, winning by KO/TKO in the first 0:28 seconds of the second round. He danced with Ross a little bit at the jump but then went in on him at the end of the first. After a quick break, it was all Cunningham. He pinned Ross up against the fence and let him have the business.
Don’t underestimate this fighter’s will to overcome the odds. Cunningham works as a machine operator at Clack Corporation and takes good care of his young boy, whilst training. The folks on Tapology didn’t think he was finna take it – only 29% predicted him to win. But despite predictions, the rising MMA star stayed true to his regimen at Perfect Moves Martial Arts in Madison, preparing for the match up. I see big things coming for the young phenom. He’s currently ranked #3 in Wisconsin, #4 in Minnesota and #26 in the Midwest at 4-1.
Also, I used to rap with Alton, aka Bo-Man, so look out for that collab in the future.
